One Newport (former local PSB) in light of the regional merger has become a sub-group (Local Delivery Group) of the Gwent PSB and is made up of a partnership of organisations working together to improve economic, social and environmental well-being in Newport.  

They do this through their Local Action Plan, which delivers local priorities within the Gwent Well-being Plan and delivers activity in Newport that would benefit from a strong partnership approach.

Gwent Public Services Board 

The Gwent Public Services Board brings public bodies together to work to improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of Gwent. They are responsible, under the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act, for overseeing the development of the new Local Well-being Plan.

The Newport Fairness Commission work with Newport City Council to give feedback on council decisions, and advice on how to make those decisions fairer.

Western Gateway

The Western Gateway Sub National Transport Body (STB) is formed of eight local council authorities and one combined authority.

Gwent Regional Partnership Board

The Greater Gwent Health, Social Care and Well-being Partnership Board is a key partnership body. It was created to lead and guide the implementation of the Social Services and Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 in the Greater Gwent area.

The priorities and objectives are included within a Regional Area Plan setting out the range and level of services they aim to provide, or arrange to be provided, in response to the population needs assessment.
